This series of paintings brought me fame in the post-Soviet space. These paintings are a harmony of simple poems and simple drawings. Together, this harmony touches the viewer’s soul. Usually, such a genre of art as folklore is considered as folk, devoid of authorship. But when I studied all the available mining folklore of the post-Soviet space, I found that there was a lot of information that I did not trust. I had a suspicion that these supposedly folk songs and poems were folk. I realized that most of the folklore was invented or falsified. But these are just my guesses based on my own experience of studying poetry. I felt that this was a challenge for me, and I decided to come up with “my own folklore” myself, the way I see and feel it.
